CMS Revised Date for Acceptance of NPIs on Paper Claims

Medicare will require the use of the NPI on paper claims. As such, CMS is implementing use of the revised CMS-1500 form to accommodate use of the NPI. Transition to the new form will begin on January 2, 2007.
